How parents can support a child through exam season

Exam season is stressful for the whole household. The good news is that the most helpful things parents can do are simple, and none of them involve becoming a second teacher.

Protect the routine

Regular sleep, meals and study hours matter more than marathon sessions. Agree a weekly timetable together and keep the house quiet during those hours.

Ask about progress, not scores

Instead of asking what your child scored, ask what they found hard this week and what they will do about it. It keeps the conversation practical and reduces pressure.

Stay in touch with the tutors

Our fortnightly progress reports tell you exactly where your child stands. If something changes at home or at school, let us know so we can adjust the plan.
